Viewer

Open any page by its address, including public pages.

What it is

Viewer is the address bar of the platform. Type an address and it renders the page — yours, or anybody's public page.

Where to find it

Viewer is one of your main screens. Swipe left or right to move between screens, or tap the handle bar at the bottom to open your App Drawer and pick Viewer from there.

How to use it

Addresses come in two shapes. @ followed by a resource id opens one of your own pages directly. @handle/app/page opens a published page — this manual, for instance, lives at @docs/manual. The address bar autocompletes from your own pages and from addresses you have visited.

Use cases

Jump straight to a page someone sent you. Check what one of your published pages looks like. Navigate without hunting through the drawer.

Gotchas

Not every resource is a page. An app shell opened by raw id will not render in Viewer — open the app from the App Drawer instead. When an address resolves to nothing, Viewer says so inline and leaves the address editable rather than throwing you out.
