Capsules

Portable section-based pieces of an app, page, message or dashboard.

What it is

A capsule is a portable piece of interface. It is built from sections, can render inside a page, dashboard or chat message, and can open to its own full view through the standard capsule portal.

Where to find it

You see capsules wherever a compact live surface has been placed: Dashboard panels, embedded page widgets, chat cards and shared snapshots. Build or edit them in Capsule Studio.

How to use it

Tap a capsule when it has a target. The target can be itself, a page, an app or an asset; if the capsule content already handled the tap, the outer capsule tap is suppressed so two navigations do not fire. In Capsule Studio, set the sections, target and default width before placing it.

Use cases

A small project status panel on your Dashboard. A shareable trip summary in Chat. A live card embedded in a page that opens to the full underlying asset.

Gotchas

Capsules inherit a default full width when no width is set. That is deliberate no-migration behaviour: old capsules keep working, and new half-width capsules have to say so explicitly. A capsule is a view over data; sharing the capsule does not automatically share every private resource it points at.
