Index

Index

Discover and install apps, deeds, workflows, views and knowledge.

What it is

The Index is the catalogue. It is where you discover things other people have published — apps, deeds, workflows, views, blocks, lenses, pages and knowledge — and it is also the inbox for anything shared privately with you.

Where to find it

Tap the handle bar at the bottom of the screen to open your App Drawer, then search for “Index”.

How to use it

Browse or search the catalogue, open something to preview it, then install. Installing makes a copy that belongs to you: your own resource, in your own workspace, which you can then edit freely. The Shared tab holds items a specific person shared with you rather than published to everyone.

Use cases

Install a LifeOS app instead of building one. Pick up a deed someone else wrote. Accept a photo album a friend shared with you.

Gotchas

An install is a copy, not a subscription. If the publisher later changes or withdraws the original, your copy is unaffected — see Sharing for what that means when a private share is revoked.
