Home Inventory

Home Inventory

What you physically have, and where.

What it is

What you physically have and where — pantry, fridge, freezer, garage.

Where to find it

Home Inventory is installable from the public Index as @Adhoc content; the LifeOS suite was published there on 2026-08-19. Open the Index, find Home Inventory in the catalogue, preview it, and install it — it then appears in your App Drawer like any other app. Some alpha workspaces also have it pre-seeded, so if Home Inventory is already in your drawer you do not need to install it again.

How to use it

Record stock by location. As things run down, the gaps become the input to Shop Pilot rather than a separate list you maintain twice. Use location and quantity fields consistently; the app is only as accurate as the last time you touched the shelf.

Use cases

Knowing whether you already own the thing before buying it again. Working out what is actually in the chest freezer. Letting a grocery plan see that pantry stock is low.

Gotchas

There is no magic inventory sensor. If someone uses the last item and nobody records it, Home Inventory will confidently show an old count until you correct it. Shared spaces need a shared habit, not just the app.
