Deeds

Deeds

Automations that run on a trigger and do work for you.

What it is

A deed is an automation: a trigger plus a list of actions. When the trigger fires, the actions run against your workspace. Deeds is where you see the deeds you have, whether they are on, and what they have done.

Where to find it

Deeds is one of your main screens. Swipe left or right to move between screens, or tap the handle bar at the bottom to open your App Drawer and pick Deeds from there.

How to use it

Ask Poly for the automation you want in plain language, or build one by hand in Deed Studio. Every run is recorded, so you can look at what a deed actually did rather than guessing.

Use cases

A morning summary assembled before you wake up. A weekly tidy-up of a list. A reminder that fires only when some condition in your data is true.

Gotchas

Deeds write through the same channel you do, and their writes are tagged as coming from a deed. That tagging is what makes an automation auditable — and it is also why a deed cannot quietly change your privacy settings.
