Start or open docs, articles and rich pages.

What it is

Writer is the drawer door for writing docs, articles and rich pages. The registry is explicit: it opens WriterHomePane and then uses the Doc-lens Viewer, rather than being a separate asset editor like Image Studio or Game Studio.

Where to find it

Open the App Drawer and look under Studios. The resting drawer shows only the studios you have pinned, so if you do not see Writer there, type its name into the drawer search — every available studio is reachable that way.

How to use it

Open Writer from the App Drawer, start a new doc or open an existing one, then write in the document surface. Use it when the end product is a page-like document, not just a reusable text snippet.

Use cases

Writing a public article. Drafting internal documentation. Opening a doc from Library and continuing on a phone.

Gotchas

Writer is always visible alongside App Studio in the studio drawer rules, but it is not an asset studio. If you are trying to edit a standalone text asset, use Text Studio instead.
