What a credit is, what each plan includes, and what spends them.

What it is

Adhoc meters the work it performs for you in credits. One credit is one US cent. Anything that costs real money to run — a Poly turn, a deed that calls a model, a capability that calls an outside service, storage, messaging, media processing, location lookups — draws from your credits.

How to use it

There are three plans.

Free gives you 16 credits a day — sixteen cents' worth — as a hard daily cutoff, 1 GB of storage as a hard cap, and the standard model tier. It cannot hold or buy extra credits.

User gives you a monthly pool of 1,000 credits — ten dollars' worth — that resets each month, 10 GB of storage as a soft limit, your choice of model tier, the ability to bring your own model keys, and the ability to buy extra credits.

Creator has the same 1,000-credit monthly pool plus a 9,000-credit monthly grant that expires at each reset, 100 GB of storage as a soft limit, and the creator surfaces.

Use cases

Understanding why a long session cost what it did. Setting a ceiling before letting an automation run unattended. Working out which plan fits how you actually use the product.

Gotchas

Buying extra credits inside the app is switched off for alpha; alpha credits are granted manually instead. Neither paid plan is purchasable in-app during alpha, so the Creator surfaces are effectively off for everyone.

On the free plan the daily allowance is a hard cutoff, not a soft warning, and the storage cap blocks further uploads rather than charging you.

Usage attributes every charge to what caused it and to who started it — you, Poly, a deed, or the system. If something is spending unexpectedly, that attribution is the fastest way to find it.
