Pages

Pages

Long-form documents you can write, format and publish.

What it is

Pages is the documents app: longer, structured, formatted writing, organised in folders. This manual is built out of exactly the same page type.

Where to find it

Tap the handle bar at the bottom of the screen to open your App Drawer, then search for “Pages”.

How to use it

Create a page and write. Each page has its own address, so you can navigate straight to one, link to it from another, and — if you choose — publish it so anyone can read it. Use sections and blocks when the page needs structure, and use Writer when you want the document-first door.

Use cases

Write documentation. Keep a long-running reference document. Publish something you want a public link for. Turn notes into something other people can read without sending them a private workspace invite.

Gotchas

Publishing a page makes it readable by anyone with the address. Read Sharing before publishing anything you would not put on the open web. Editing a public page updates the same resource, so keep drafts private until they are ready.
