Settings

Account, appearance, privacy, notifications and bug reporting.

What it is

Settings holds everything about your account and your active entity that is not itself an app: profile and handle, appearance, language, chat preferences, privacy and data-contribution settings, notification preferences, business setup, merchant setup, and the bug reporter.

Where to find it

Settings is one of your main screens. Swipe left or right to move between screens, or tap the handle bar at the bottom to open your App Drawer and pick Settings from there.

How to use it

Each row opens a panel. Your Account edits the user entity that represents you. Entities shows shared entities you belong to and lets owners manage profile and membership. Privacy & Data controls contribution and erasure. Privacy & Discovery controls whether others can find you in Contacts. Notifications has the push-device card, master toggle, channel priority matrix and notification analytics. Merchant Setup is where a business accepts the merchant agreement and connects Stripe before selling. View as appears only for platform admins and previews another plan or release ring.

Use cases

Change your data-contribution tier. Claim or change your handle. Check Entity health when an entity feels inconsistent. Turn push on for this device. Set whether people can find you by name or handle. Report a bug with diagnostics attached automatically.

Gotchas

Settings is scoped to the active entity in the places that say entity: switch entities before editing a shared entity, its health, or its business setup. Your data-contribution tier is user-only. Poly is refused that command outright, and so are deeds — see Consent tiers.
